Title: pretty little red hat vase - amberina red - ID = Davidson MT1

This is such a pretty colour - not ruby or cranberry, the sort of orangey red you get on amberina pieces.  Does this colour have a recognised name?

(and if anyone knows anything about who and where for the little hat, gratefully received also..)

It's a Davidson MT1 posy, usually described as one of their less inspring designs. Scroll down here (http://www.cloudglass.com/Gallerypostwar.htm).

Thank you so much Christine! It is all so easy when you know the makers name!

So they call it ruby... hmmmm..... not at all like the normal ruby of the 1950s.
