Post by: mhgcgolfclub on April 09, 2007, 05:05:51 PM
Car Boot find a large pressed glass lidded vase or jar it stands 12" tall and weighs 1.2kgs, the seller was selling a large amount of mostly victorian pressed glass from a house clearance although most had some damage  , my thoughts possibly German and maybe a little later any thought please

Hi Roy,
gosh these are coming out of the woodwork!!

The pattern is the same as my little smokey blue goblet, your covered jar is MUCH nicer though...

at the bottom of my thread

there is a link to a goblet of Cathy's that has a link to a pressglas correspondenz page with these on ...

Question is, is yours old or new???

Thanks Lynne

Not sure of age , i bought about 12 items from this seller who unloaded about 20 boxes of mostly pressed glass, most of which were late victorian , I still think 1880 /early 1900's, just have to wait and see
