I guess the old one was responsible for so many of these that one will turn up sooner than later....

:o  dearie me, that's about as subtle as a brick from a great height!  How did they do it - with a hammer and chisel?

Yes he did tons before Frank ran him out ot town but Pip's right, this looks like it's been scratched or something. At least chrism invested in a dremmel. Also the spelling on this one is correct. OK it's hard to mis-spell Flavio Poli but chrism's mistakes were pretty hilarious at times.
Let's hope we see no more of these as there's always someone who will get taken in.
Thanks goodness this one went for no more than it would have done without the "signature".

Should have gone for less really, since it had been ruined as much as if it had a large chip out of it!

True !
Here's another ... I think ....
"Kosta" engraved
http://cgi.ebay.com/_W0QQitemZ150119190179
but I'm not experienced enough t tell for sure.

Also scrappy signatures on small Holmegaard vases engraved with nude females. I didn't know Holmegaard did anything like that but if they did then I guess the signatures are correct no matter how scrappy. I am aware that neatness if not always a reliable guide.

I'm not looking for these suspect signatures  ...in fact I almost never buy signed glass but I like to be able to tell if genuine or not, just in case. Most signatures I do see look ok to me.

Without going into the details of the sig, it looks like a valid Kosta piece to me although not in pristine conditions. However at $ 109 starting price plus $10 shipping I'd think he'll have problem shifting the pixie.
