Post by: Pajazzo on May 07, 2007, 03:16:46 PM
Hi, I'm new on this message board and need your help to identify glass. Who could help me with the blue vase below? I don't the size but it's rather high. Thanks!

It has a scandi look about it but the colour I don't know about. A photo of the bottom may help someone with more knowledge than me to say for definite.

Thank you, unfortunately I only have a very bad picture of the signature. The person who is selling the vase gave me the following description but it doesn't ring a bell (?)

"VIS AY", "D. or P. V&GILS" or "VPGILS"

I shall try to send the picture of the signature this evening but the signature is hard to read.

Dear Pajazzo.  I'm wondering if this photograph is your own?  If not, it would be appropriate to ask the seller if they mind you reproducing it here - or you may have done that already of course.   :)

Hi Pajazzo,
I have found a vase similar to the one you posted here (http://www.glaskilian.de/andere.101.0.html) #7639. It is said to be made in Lithuania in 1990. I think that the seller on Marktplaats is expecting a lot more than 55 euros for his  :-\

Latvia, the other Glass country. Livanu Stiklas - and Jan will be very lucky if he sells it for 55.
