I believe this is a Daum vase. It has an acid etched mark on the bottom (and another few clear larger marks as the rest of the bottom is a frosty white).
But across the vase in Lilac is what appears to be a signature that looks like Daum. It does not go with the designs on the vase so I am sure it is a signature. I have seen other Daum vases with this mark before...
Am I correct? The acid etched name on the bottom looks like it begins with a "D".
I have been studying glass for some time (it's my passion) and have many pieces that are sensational (inherited, puchased)...and I am amazed it took me so long to find this board. It's like finding my soulmate(s)! :) So, I ask you in earnest.....what's the expert opinion on this piece? It measures a little over 7" and across the top measures 3.25", approximately. I appreciate any opinion you may offer...
Thanks!
Glassforever....
I posted them on the website. I hope it worked! I can see them under new photos but I'm not sure whether they are in an album.

Hi Glassforever ;D & welcome.
When you upload a photo to yobunny, there is a link underneath the photo. This is the link that you will need to post into your thread.
I am presuming that this is your vase:

One can never say anything for certain without handling a piece, but I would be very surprised if this is Daum.
The lilac squiggle is not a Daum signature. One would need a better photo of the base to try to decipher the etched or engraved signature.
Do you have any other reasons for assuming it is Daum... for example a reference to a similar piece that is definitely Daum?

That is Makora glass from Poland, sorry.

This has nothing in common with Daum and looks very east European, so I guess Ivo is correct
