Title: Glass Basket, Flygsfors? Murano or what?
Post by: Gill on June 13, 2007, 06:20:53 PM
Can anyone help me identify this basket ( actually I'm very confident someone will be able to) I'l be very grateful as always. I've seen very similar items described as Flygsfors Coquille but I know they're often signed, this one isn't what do you think? 27cms high and some wear to the base.

Hi Gill,

It certainly does look like some of the examples on ebay. I have one similar..

Well kind of similar now that I look at them together...anyway, mine was described to me as possibly being Chalet glass. So Im wondering if yours would fit into that category also.

There were a couple of Oy Kumela  pieces on eBay today that were similar to Flygsfors, so that might be a possibility. Has anybody seen a Chalet piece with this type of colouring. I keep getting surprised at what Chalet produced (not just the really big stretched pieces). Also, there was another Canadian company, Lorraine, who, I believe, used only paper labels, and who produced something like Flygsfors.
