Hi. I bought this today, thought it was sweet typically English country cottage glassware. Any thoughts as to whom might have made it? TIA
PS It is handpainted with flocks of birds and impressionist flowers - hollyhocks or the like.

I have thought that possibly the painted decoration could have been added after this was first purchased , so I am hoping at least the shape style and colour in its own right, could be the starting point for an ID. It is very nice quality glass, has a nice "silky" touch, flat polished base and the jug has subtle vertical optic ribbing.
Any pointers would be helpful. thanks Emmi

They remind me of this lovely set (http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b217/lustrousstone/IMG_1322.jpg) with the same squarish optic internal ribbing. This is in uranium glass and also hand painted (cold enamel). Excuse the quick snap!

Yes Christine, some similar features that's for sure. Is this set yours? And do you have any more info? Emmi

Yes its mine, and no I don't know anything about it. I'd assumed 1930s continental Europe and left it at that.

i'd say Tyrolean to that one too.
