Title: Amethyst Vases - ID help.. reposted missing post..

Hi,

I posted these but the post disappeared and I dont know what the replies were...

2 amethyst vases..
1st one appr 17.5cm high x 5cm wide.. 2.5cm thick base.
2nd one 6.5cm high x 9cm wide, cased, white inside.

the one on the right is most likely a Bamboo vase from Aseda. The one on the left - who knows. Could be Danish, Italian or German...

Do you really think so Ivo? I've never seen any Aseda Bamboo vases that weren't cased ... also, the hoops on this one look very rounded whereas on the Aseda ones they're more pointy - here's a link to a red one I sold a little while ago to show what I mean.

OK maybe not. I have one of these in solid brown kicking around in the scandinavian section - but it might as well be Empoli or Spanish imitation from the same period.

Thanks guys. I guess I will list them under the retro glass heading (which opened a can of worms last time :) ) Sometimes the collector of the particular glass seems to find it themselves without the proper heading. I just hate to misrepresent anything.
