Not sure if this is Murano, but if anyone recognises the technique,I would be very interested in any info they may have. Have seached for another, but with no luck. Possibly Chinese?
It has an inner core of silver, then orange and blue coiled around the silver core. It's a heavy piece at 1.4kgs, and stands 23cms.

Sandymae, it looks like a sommerso technique with silver foil, followed by either fenici application of the colored glass before casing in clear glass. Some of the Italian pieces are very colorful, so I wouldn't doubt that it is Murano or at least Italian. I have no idea of who might have done your fish.

Thanks Anita,
I see that it has been passed onto the glass section, but still have no idea where it was made. Have found another with the same core, but a bird, also listed as Murano. Ebay Item number: 170054956262 any ideas anyone?
