We collect not only glass dogs, but also polar bears - here's the latest addition:

The dimensions are about 50 mm (belly) x 135 mm (nose-to-tail) and 100 mm high; the weight is 600 g. It carries a silver-metallic sticker - with all colour gone - barely readable by the indentation only. There is a large capital R in the middle; the text below reads clearly Sweden; the text above, likely the glass studio, has unfortunately been bent several times and is indistinguishable.
Does anyone recognise the R logo? I have tried to outline it in the last picture.

Hi Wuff, ;D
Reijmyre is the manufacturer. I have a few of their beasties, a couple with labels.

That was fast !!!
Thank you very much, Della. I just had a look at their web page - they don't seem to make these creatures any longer.

You're very welcome, Wolf.
I was just lucky enough to have a couple of my own. I have an ape, a bird and a mushroom, all in frosted glass, but the label is unmistakable. I love the polar bear, it's just gorgeous. I am  with envy, Wolf.
I am not sure when they date to. I haven't really looked in to that particular factory. Maybe I should :D

Have just sent a mail to the factory - let's see if and what they reply.
Best regards - Wolf
