What do you know, son brought this home for me today

But it was the lable i was supprised by!!

I know it's not conclusive proof of origin as i did see one some time ago with a made in china lable, so is the lable original?

I saw this exact vase yesterday and thought it looked old - the colour of the glass, crudity of manufacture, etc. I think the label looks new and not what I would expect of vintage Japanese ware. It also looks like it might have been peeled up from one edge. Most old Japanese stuff just seems to say Foreign. I would guess 1930s Chinese and made by a home worker for a larger company, like I believe many of the paperweights were. Did the post-War Japanese glass industry have out workers?
