Title: Small paperweight like stick of rock

I got this in a job lot at auction. The bottom is clear with a broken of pontil depression. Is it Bohemian or modern Asian?

Most likely modern; Chinese, maybe; Indian, likely

Although it looks like a stick of rock, the method of making it is not similar to rock making. I only mention this because so many paperweights use drawn canes that use techniques similar to confectionery manufacture and the methods used to make sticks of rock.

This technique is closer to the sort of icing technique you would find on a "millefeuilles" pastry!
