Title: Gorgeous large gold and red striped duck.
Post by: Pat on August 18, 2007, 04:03:01 PM
I got this today. The label is gone except for the brown part. It is 34cms tall. I'd like to know if it's generic or can be identified to a maker. Thanks.

It is hard to tell the shape of the label. Are both long sides scalloped?

Pat, I had a look 101 Murano Labels on GlassGallery, and your shape of sticker seems similar to a couple there.

There's two like this: http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-1950

Just a thought anyway.  I have to say your duck is a cut above a lot of glass birds I've seen, and really handsome.  :)

I did look at the labels Max but hoped it could be pinned down a bit more. It cam in an auction lot of Royal Doulton for £15 the lot. I think I did rather well 'cos the duck is for me.

I think the shape is most like David555's Hand Made in Murano one.
