It's German, 'Byrdes' collection, sold in the 70s and 80s under the label Hofbauer.

But who is Hofbauer? The standard story on the internet is that Hofbauer only existed from the 1950s to the 1980s, and this seems to have become internet lore. However, according to Frank, the name seems to have changed to Amaris, which is a brand name of Nachtmann. Nachtmann are now part of Riedel Glassworks (famous for wine glasses). This suggests that Hofbauer may have been a brand name itself, and possibly for Nachtmann. The other implication is that the pieces may have been in production for longer than generally assumed and possibly still being made.
