Title: drunken bricklayer 13 inch
Post by: josie harris on September 05, 2007, 09:51:04 PM
Hi

my mum has a whitefriars vase in green. It is 13 inches high with no marks or scratches. If we were to sell it what sort of money should we ask. Thanks

Have you tried www.whitefriars.com and www.whitefriarsorg/org/mf? Might have a better chance on those forums.

The other way is to look through sold items on ebay

I do hope your mother's vase isn't a 'Meadow Green' one.

The 'reproductions' are only in the 8" size *at the moment* so I think the larger size should be ok.   :)

Mums vase is darker than the one you pointed out on ebay and has a little sticker on the bottom with the numbers 9672. Will try the other boards you have mentioned and see if we can sell it. Many thanks

The number 9682 is just the catalogue pattern number for the 13" bricklayer, regardless of colour. In theory the large ones can fetch £600 ++ depending on colour, but e-bay prices are on the low side at the moment.  Sometimes, these are best sold in an auction house.  My local auctions seem always to get top prices for Whitefriars stuff, but guess even that depends on where you live and if the auction has a web site etc.  Emmi
