Title: malachite C tub shaped bark pattern vase

a larger piece this time - 4.5 ins 110 mm tall - with a distinct bark pattern

again, any help and guidance appreciated.

Methinks purple slag not malachite - which is green in essence.

Yes, you are right in essence, however, the correct name for the marbled glass as made by those Northern boys is apparently malachite - regardless of colour!

Slag is a misnomer...

In that case i flatly refuse to go along with what must be an even bigger misnomer than vayzeleen.
