Post by: Pat on October 01, 2007, 06:19:56 PM
I bought a ship load of glass yesterday-it's a long story. Anyway I have several itms I don't know about or even odd. Hoping for some help with id's ages and some even what it is it!.  This is very pretty cup and saucer that I think may be sklo union. The cupe has a plain polished bottom and the saucer sits on a ring. The pattern on the saucer is cut into a raised triangle within the ring.

Hi Pat,
Very possibly Czechoslovakian, from one of the factories around Novy Bor.
This appears to be a cut-to-clear item? If it is, as you say the saucer is cut, then very definitely not from the Sklo Union factories.
Hope that this helps,
Marcus

Welcome back Marcus. You have been missed. Well indeed it is cut to clear and the saucer is definitely cut. Any idea of possible age?
