I assume these are candle holders, they are white glass cased with clear stand about 7 inches and the foot is folded. Any ideas as to maker.
Thanks

At the risk of having to crawl away with a red face, :) I would be surprised if they were just candle holders. They look much more like some sort of of special fruit or sorbet dish, designed for a specific purpose - maybe the bit that looks like a candle-holder was designed to hold some sort of wafer, or even flowers - a kind of table epergne for eating your pudding - pineapple rings and sorbet perhaps.
But this is pure conjecture and if someone can prove they are straight candle holders, perhaps the bowl was designed to catch the wax - an awful lot of it, I suspect.
Sometimes restaurants would commission special serving dishes for specific signature dishes, btw.

Adam could be right, i know Constance Spry designed candle sticks that converted to flower holders, because i have a pair.
-
Maybe table centres with a flower decoration in the bowl, surrounding a candle, then?

I think that is spot on,mine are in clear glass by Connie Spry for Brierly or Royal Brierly, will check in the morning.out comes the loft ladder again.

Have just seen a pair of Spry candlesticks but they were a bit to pricey for me, ::) ;D
