Title: Efeso by Barovier & Toso
Post by: bidda on October 15, 2007, 12:41:36 AM
was the Efeso style ever used by B&T in any color other than blue? it seems that every image i can find is the same color. i'd love to know more about this interesting technique.

thanks,

bidda

Hi,

I have a grey Efeso on my website, planetglass.net.  No label, but attributed to them by a very well known collector.

thanks, Laura.
i thought it seemed silly that i could only find the technique in one color. it's good to know that it was made in others as well. i'd found a white vase with bubbles that appeared to be very similiar to efeso and considered it but, the color (or lack thereof) bothered me...actually, considering that the technique seems to highlight pigments ringing the bubbles and white isn't exactly a color (or is it all of them?)... i digress. must get coffee :)

have a wonderful day everyone,

Just to make it even more confusing, one of the scandinavian (German?) companies does an extremely similar technique.
