Hi, I am trying to find out who made this, I have a felling it could be Holmegaard but cannot find it anywhere. It has a ground out polished pontil and is 10 inches in height. Any help appreciated. Thank you
-
Definitely not Holmegaard, although the factory did use similar colours so I can see how you might have come to that conclusion.
I would probably look into one of the Swedish factories, perhaps? Swedish isn't really my area, so that's just a guess.
Very nice vase, by the way!

Just a suggestion for further research but it makes me think of Per-Oluf Ström, Alsterfors, Sweden
-
Thank you for your replies glasetcetera I think you have got it right, I have just looked and found something very very similar. Thank you. Sue.

Well I got out the magnifying glass and it is signed on the bottom. P Strom 1968, you have to look hard to find it !!. Thanks again as I would probably never have found out. Sue

Hi Sue,
Nice to read, I'm making progress ;)
and we're up here to help each other!
Best regards,

Hiya,
Left a message on your Whitefriars.com post.
Swedish Alsterfors designed by Per-Olof Strom. (Olaf? Olof?)
This vase is on Page 303 of Judith Millers DK Collectables Price Guide 2007.
They estimate £50-70 and date it to 1968.
