I assume this to be Murano - confirmation or objection?
Anyone have a guess about the date - is 1984 likely (200th anniversary)?
Anyone into hot air ballooning? I could not find any info on an "imporant" flight for that date - do you know more about it (though this is not really this board's topic)?
Best regards - Wolf

Murano - yes.
Ferro & Lazzarini - could be any time from around mid-1970s (or even earlier?). 1985 quite possible.
They made many weights with this type of design (double garland around image), perhaps most being the "Zodiac" series.

This looks like the event Wuff, the balloon matches your weight image as does the date: http://www.scienceandsociety.co.uk/results.asp?image=10410920
Engraving by Debuigne after a drawing by Sellon, showing a hot-air balloon, ‘Le Marseillos’, ascending from Marseilles in France on 8 May 1784.
