Title: Old Bohemian or maybe an English bowl?
Post by: Tigerchips on October 28, 2007, 07:24:37 PM
Hi, this bowl has some Uranium content in the white parts and a fire (only just) on the rim when held up to the light. It also has a nicely polished pontil.

I've seen similar items on Verre D'Art (http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:S0X0RBAKWccJ:home.earthlink.net/~verredart1/glass/) so I was thinking it might be English or Bohemian?

Thanks, Tony.

Yep, that's probably as close as you are gong to get. Turn of the century uranium glass from England or Bohemia. Nice one. I'm getting quite a collection of these bowls/baskets/vases
