Title: French screw top bottle

Hi
 Can anyone please tell me what this was used for? It is made in France has Houbigant on the base, my first thought was that it was a kerosene lampbase....but i dont really know....Kev  8)

Houbigant is a Parisian parfumier. Is it small enough for a perfume bottle?

Hi Christine

Its 14.5cms tall so just under 6 inches, it is oval, so that would be quite large for a scent bottle....Kev  8)

That probably depended on who was making their bottle for them at any given time - bottle makers seem to be 10 a centime
