Title: Red Orange glass bowl possibly Italian?
Post by: Madbrit on November 02, 2007, 09:03:14 PM: Hi i bought a job lot of ceramic (Fat Lava) last year, 20 teachests full, and this was in one of the tea chests. I think its Italian, although i have nothing to base that on, can anyone please identify it for me..... 8)

No, I don't think so (that it's Chalet). Not flamboyant enough. Of course, I could be wrong. It's been known to happen once or twice before on this board :o

Okay, never mind the fact that I still haven't managed to ID my glass. ;) But this one is just not yelling Chalet to me.

This other site, about three quarters the way down, there is a pic of a "Very Rare and Unusual Big Shimmering Manganese Laden Bowl " purple glass bowl, that is (similar :huh: )

Post by: Madbrit on November 07, 2007, 12:24:41 PM: The teachests came from 1 of 5 barns crammed full of ceramics and glass and metalware objects collected by the late father of a friend who lives near the Danish border in North Germany.....every 4-6 months we go and clear a barn, i go in clean and come out looking like a coalman....We have cleared 2 so far, the next one is due to start in DFebruary, why do you want to come and help?
