Title: Blue glass jug, help with maker please?
Post by: Littleblackhen on November 06, 2007, 10:22:23 AM
I picked up an unusual shaped blue jug at a car boot sale, and I have been unable to link it to any maker reliably.

Can anyone help me id it please?  It is very pretty :)

It is around 12 inches tall.

I would speculate perhaps Krosno, Poland, purely on the basis that they use the neat round ground out pontil and their jugs have included coloured bodies with clear handles - having said that jugs like these are often difficult. Italy could be an option

Thanks for your help :)

I saw this link posted in another thread today http://www.glaskilian.de/Friedrich.507.0.html  and thought some of the vases looked quite similar to my jug.  Does anyone else think so too?
