Nice stuff

He's one of the few peole who managed to achieve the same detail and quality that people are accustomed to seeing in paperweights, by torchworking on blown forms. I think (although I am not an expert) that his paperweights are probably quite rare. I once read that one of his wisteria pieces was 12 hours on the blowing iron and that they had to change propane tanks as they went along!

So they'll cost a bit more than a fiver eh, Adam? ;)
Seriously though; lovely work!

They are very very nice....but I found this:
" hefty 10 1/2-inch paperweight vase by the innovative Mark Peiser, which showed a tropical garden encased within the thick walls, achieved $21,850."
I think I will stick to looking at the pics!

It's a pity that the text does not quite tie up with the detail for one of the weights. Or are there such things as 4-winged, flying buttercups??
It's also a pity that many exellent glass artists are generally unknown to paperweight collectors because they only produce a few paperweights within their range of designs and those paperweights that are made do not usually come to the attention of the paperweight collectors.
