Hi all,
I've 'acquired' these bits over the last few weeks, and would love to know more about them. Please forgive me if they are 'nothing'!
1. An Art Deco black glass bowl. About 21.5cm in diameter and 7cm deep.

2. A green glass bowl ~ looks like Whitefriars to my inexpert eye, but I can't find it in the WF catalogues. There are several flaws in the glass ~ 11"/28cm in diameter by 4.75"/12cm deep. Has a polished pontil mark.

3. A small vase (or goblet?) about 15.5cm tall. Amethyst, and appears almost black. Has a rough, unfinished pontil mark, and the glass is fairly 'bumpy' with pitting and bits sticking out if you'll excuse the technical terms!

4. A tall satinated glass (I think) vase (I think). About 25cm tall, and slightly greener than it appears in the pictures. Completely smooth base.

Hope I'm not being too greedy >:D, and thanks in anticipation.
Cheers, John.

Hello,
Your art deco black glass bowl is a 6000 Flower pattern bowl by Jobling of Sunderland. Quite rare to see them in black as black was only produced for a short time. The pattern was registered in September 1932.
The dark amethyst vase/ goblet reminds me of a blue piece I had which was identified as modern Egyptian.

No 3 reminds me of Tweedsmuir Glass (Chris Dodd's) link (http://www.scotlandsglass.co.uk/cms/index.php?page=shop.browse&category_id=241&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=51)
Please let us know if you can confirm with him

Hi Steven ~ many thanks for the Jobling ID, which is very helpful. Having brought a couple of pieces of Egyptian glass back from a holiday there a few years ago, I can see that it could well be!
Hi Frank ~ thanks for the pointer. I'll make enquiries there, and certainly let you know what they say.
Many thanks again, John.

A quick update ~
Jobling bowl is now on eBay, item number 230195054901 if anyone's interested.
Am still awaiting an answer re the possible Tweedsmuir vase/goblet
Frank ~ have sent you an email with some bits for The Zoo. Let me know if you don't get it!
Cheers, John.
