Hiya everyone. How you all doing? Hope you're keeping well.
Wish I had more time to visit but I seem to be all out of spare time lately :'(
I am hoping someone here might be able to give some insight on this Austrian or Bohemian art glass vase. I must have been researching it for about 2 months by now with no joy. Unfortunately I don't own any books on this type of glass yet although they are on my Christmas wish list hehe.
The only thing I managed to come up with on this piece was an ebay auction a while ago now that had exactly the same shaped piece although in a different color, and was listed as Pallme Konig. Of course we all know how well we can trust ebay auctions ;) so there is no way I'm going to take the word of one auction alone. I've searched all the online sites I could find for info regarding Pallme Konig, Krallik, Rindskopf and even Loetz although I doubt I'm lucky enough to have found a Loetz hehe.
This piece measures 4 1/8" tall. and about 2 3/4" in diameter. It's got an orange oil spot finish and a ground and polished clear base. The finish on the glass has a slightly purple iridescence which is almost impossible to capture in the photos.
Any help or nudge in the right direction would be so much appreciated!

I would speculate that yours should have a metal top, it looks incomplete and the top rim is a bit wonky, and Truitt & Truitt in Colectible Bohemian Glass 1880-1940 have a similar (not the same) squished one in green with a metal top. This is unidentified though. So perhaps Bohemia, which is where you were anyway

Just a thought, could it be a Dugan piece (their "Venetian" art glass)?

Dugan Venetian has a rough pitted surface, and yours is satinated and smooth - so I'd say one of the Bohemians as suggested..

Thankyou :)
