Title: Need to find replacement leaf of a 40s - 50s chandelier-Eastern USA
Post by: doghouse on December 13, 2007, 05:46:15 AM
Norwalk, Connecticut: I broke a piece of wife's family heirloom. It is a curved clear leaf (8 descending, 4 rising) that attaches into wood (!) structure. I spoke with Giovanni Nason of Glass and Crystal Restoration Center and he says better chance of winning lottery than finding this piece. I have not yet investigated getting recreated (imagine the cost). Please see image. Any leads will be greatly appreciated.

Hi doghouse (is that as "in the doghouse"?), welcome to the board. I'm going to move this into the main Glass forum as I suspect you will have a better chance of a reply there as it is a busier forum. Fingers' crossed someone can help you escape the doghouse soon. ;)

You can probably get it made at a reasonable cost.
