Hello, i bought this jug recently and was told it was Whitefriars. It is around 8inch tall. any information would be gratefully received.
Thank you

It's by Per Lutken for Holmegaard (Denmark). The design probably dates from the late 1950s, but it was made up until at least 1965-75.

Bit of a revision of my original post:
The pitcher was designed in 1953, and is shape/pattern number 14581. It was in production, at a best guess, until 1971.
Emmi - nope, didn't get any email. I've been having a few problems with it of late, with things either not arriving or being sent to the spam folder. ::)
Patrick - still holding on to the duck for the time being. But I'm hopefully moving later in the year, so may part with it to free up some funds. :)

He - Think it must be the 1 liter jug from the "Iceland" series, smoke pattern number 161356 (clear 101352) but still Per Lütken, present i Holmegaard catalogue 1958-1965

Thank you Peter!!!!!

Yours hopefully Taylor

I was referencing 'Glass Is Life', which has this as a 1953 design with the 14581 pattern number. Might it have been produced for a period in 1953, and then re-issued in 1958 for 'Iceland', or designed in '53 but not put into production for several years, as happened with the 1949 / 1953 'York' decanter?

Hej Nic.
I think you got the right one, but as you can see there is one digit more in the 1958-1965 catalogue and here it is call "Island" (Iceland). The design by Per Lütken dates the 23rd of February, 1953. PL black book is a notebook over a lot of test patterns where not all went into production, but this one properly in 1953 but I do not have catalogue from the period where the jug had the 5 digit pattern number. If the jug was signed with 5 digits its produced 1957 and before and with 6 digits 1958 and after.
