Title: Harry Ellaway, Glassmaker, Molesey, Surrey

I am looking for labelled glass (lampwork) by this former scientific glass manufacturer. His range differed from Pirelli in being more stylised. Or any personal information about him.

Frank, do you know the address in Molesey where this glassmaker was based?  Molesey is very close to where I was brought up and to where my parents live now (literally just over the Thames).  Paul and I visit the charity shops in East and West Molesey fairly regularly (East is the posh bit near Hampton Court, West is the not so posh bit near Walton on Thames) and would be happy to see if there's anything still there.

I am afraid not... yet. He should be listed in c.1957 phone directories.

Initials H. T. Ellaway.

I found a Hydrometer on eBay:
Quote
"BEER" HYDROMETER... WAS MADE BY "H.T. ELLAWAY, EAST MOLESEY, SURREY" IT MEASURES 8" LONG

thus expanding his known product range and also gives East Molesey.

ah OK East Molesey is the posh part near Hampton Court (I know East Molesey much better than West because it's nearer to where my parents live).  I'll have a nose around next time I'm there and ask around for you.
