Title: Identification of 2 glass paperweights.
Post by: Wuberforce79 on January 05, 2008, 06:03:48 PM
I have in my possesion 2 glass paperweights 1 named saturn and the other astral. Both are boxed but have no signature or makers mark. The saturn 1 has a code of LP9045 and a barcode of 5010792090450 and the astral one has a product code of LP6182 and a barcode of 5010792061825.

Although i am not a collector of paperweights i thought they were nice to look at and was wondering if anyone could give me the name of the makers and value if possible?

If anyone knows about them could they e-mail me at bigwull1979(AT)yahoo(DOT)co(DOT)uk this would be greatly appreciated

William.

Yes, those boxes are what many modern Chinese / Taiwanese weights come in - via importers such as Royal Crest. Very likely that the boxes have a nicely crimped/folded white fabric cushion which the weight sits in.

The ones through Royal Crest normally had a small card "certificate" included but that would often get lost by a previous owner.

You've posted the same picture twice. It's a modern Chinese weight.

Ahh, there's the second one. It's modern Chinese also.
