I quite liked the look of this lamp, which finished unsold on ebay recently,
I thought about bidding, but a bit hard up over Christmas :(

Anyone any ideas on maker? I wondered Holmegaard?? or Flygsfors??
Cheers
Andy

The big clear rim part does look very Lutken-esque.... but it's not a design I've ever seen.
It might be Holmegaard, or it might not be. Hard to gauge colours and quality of finish from the photos, really.

Hi Andy and Nic,
Could these two lamps be related?
http://www.antikviteter.net/antikprat/
go to glas,
then konstglas,
then häftig bordslampa
The owner was told that it is italian.

Well-spotted, Aine.
An Italian attribution would make more sense than a Danish one, I think.

Frank, I'm curious.. how did you get the link? I tried but it just came up with the main menu :(

Right click on the link itself and (firefox) 'Copy Link Location'

Hi Andy, sorry, I didn't think.
Here's the gist of it.. The owner has just bought it and the shopkeeper told him it was of Italian origin. The owner says that he reckons it is recent ( fitting etc) and wonders if anyone knows who made it. There is a possibility that there is a signature by the fitting for the bulb but he doesn't want to dismantle the lamp until the bulb needs changing. Stand is in copper.
The reply to the query says.. Nice lamp.. looks like an egg holding it's ears!
I can keep an eye on it if you like, and post any news on it.
