Title: Pair tall dark amber Venetian style vases , any ideas??
Post by: Andy on January 11, 2008, 02:14:42 PM
Just picked this pair up,(99pennys!) nice amber colour, getting darker towards base,
blown, ribbed, applied feet. 12 inches tall.
Maybe Italian, although they remind me in style and shape of the venitian style John Walsh Walsh
vase i have.(identified by Bernard)
Any ideas anyone
Cheers

They do have a mainland Italian looks to me. 60's-70's Empoli or similar.

I do have a similar vase, though not the same, with a label for comparison. (Label reads Montrose made in Italy)

Hi,

that its Italy, probably mainland somewhere.
