Title: Rýnsky glassworks
Post by: Sklounion on January 30, 2008, 11:57:33 AM
Hi,
Please does anyone have any information regarding the Rýnsky (Rhine) glassworks at Kolíně nad Rýnem, (Koln am Rhein) known to have been in business before World War One? Are they mentioned in Hartmann? Any dates? What type of glass they produced? Who owned the factory? etc....
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Marcus

Note: Czech spellings given as I am working from an original Czech text.

Hartmann only mentions one possible. Köln-Ehrenfeld - Rheinische Glashütten. Marks include Kralika

Glass Study has details on these, only checked glassworks not refineries
Köln a. Rh., Rhein. Glaswerke Weber & Fortemps. 296.
Köln-Efferen, Westdeutsche Glashütte, A.-G. 365.
Köln-Ehrenfeld, Rhein. Glashütten,. A.-G. 295.

Hi Frank,
This would be a glassworks, not a refiners. It is likely to be either 295 0r 296. Using a mark kralika, would this be part of the Kralik empire?
Regards,
Marcus
