Hi Skay

If you could give dimensions for this piece, also the colour, it's not quite clear in your photo's.  Is there irridescence there too, or it is just my eyes?      :)

Thanks for looking.

About 12 /13" diameter.  It looks black, and held up to a light it still looks black.

The upper is smooth and and a better photo of the underside is attached .

The photos show colour but probably reflections as I can't see it.

Is the texture anything like this?

TC, yes the underside is just like that, but the 'hinge' part of the shell is different I think.

The size is different too, mine is five & a half inches wide. However, mine is clear glass and smooth on the front with what looks like a satinised or frosted backing. It's marked: "FRANCE" on the back.

I have seen a few Arcoroc one's in black glass but they seem different.

I've checked it over again and can't see any marks.

A bit of a mystery for now then.....but it will be used, I'll have to squash it into a cupboard somehow.
