Hi, I just got this today (yes - I was Flea Market shopping). Can anyone tell me anything about this guy here. Id, and year. (Please note the first pix was way too bright with flash -- tried to tone it down). Thanks.

Pretty sure this one is an imitation of Murano glass clown bowls. Some of these are Mexican, but I think yours in Chinese.
-
This is a very new piece.
I agree it is most likely Chinese.

So where is the Chinese section here......lol. If you need to move, it is OK..
I still like -- it is whimsical :)

If someone has a similar piece, most likely they will be sent to this section anyway, so lets leave it.

Thanks for leaving it :D I have a similar piece. This post helped a lot and now I don't have to bother everyone asking about mine :D

another possibility is joska; don´t really know if they made clown bowls though.
compare their clowns (especially clown´s hat and feet) in this link:
joska clowns (http://www.joska.com/shop/index.htm?http://www.joska.com/shop/dekorartikel_start.htm) (click on clowns)
and the way the clown´s hands are applied to this bowl:
