Pontils can be smooth and polished, smooth and unpolished, broken but heated up a bit or broken and downright dangerous - and anything in between

Hi Gilead,
Can i suggest you invest in a glass book or 2, there are some super ones out there, loads of
piccies, and great to have to hand for research etc.

I am going to suggest a couple, others may suggest more,

one of the first i had is '20th Century Glass' by Judith Miller and Mark Hill,  also
Millers 20th Century Glass by Andy McConnell both very reasonable on Amazon at the moment,
(search for 20th Century glass) and well worth the investment ;D

Good luck, and be prepared to have a houseful of glass like most of us on the board!
Regards
Andy
