Last one tonight, ive had a long day
A large ruby bowl, with a lattice pattern in the glass, Gold raspberry prunts,
I think its Murano, i remember i sold a similar one for my Uncle about 4 years ago, and he
said he thought it was from Italy, from the 1950s.
8 inches wide, 4 " tall, polished base.
Cant see similar in my books, maybe its Generic Murano
or maybe im miles off!
Thanks
Andy :D

Another gorgeous bowl, Andy. Three companies that I know of did this type of balloton-blown glass: Barovier&Toso, Salviati, and AVeM. Your bowl looks like it was done by either Barovier&Toso or AVeM to me. (The size and prunts makes me favor Barovier&Toso.)
Generic! I love the optic diamond glass. The prunts look well done. I wish I could be certain of the maker of the bowl, but other companies have copied the optic diamond look for many pieces. If you can find an exact match to your bowl, you can feel more comfortable.

Thanks Anita,
I can tell its well made and lovely quality :D
Maybe generic was the wrong term to use, Barovier and Toso sounds so much better ;D
Date wise, is it possible to say or are we looking at several decades?
Cheers

The date I've seen for the bowls is the 1950s. I haven't seen anything official for the dates, though. The only information I have is from various sellers. I wouldn't be surprised if they also were made a few years earlier.

Note the fan vase with the 'ruffled' rim, which has likenesses to my dish. Artglass Co. may have been the company handling imports to the UK of this style.
