I have seen similar marked Portugal also.

Intresting the portugal link...anyone care to elaborate...cant recall seeing a reference to Portugese paperweights before

I can't elaborate much - other than to say I've seen these with generic "made in portugal" labels around.
The patterns and colors don't seem to vary too much, orange seems to be popular.
