Hi All
Can anyone help me identify this piece? I purchased it from the estate of a lady who collected Scandinavian glass as I do but my gut feeling is that it is not.
It weighs 1.5Kg & is 12Cm's in diameter & 8Cm's tall, you cannot see from the photo's but the swirl pattern continues in 'the eye' & it's almost like looking into a small universe with green planets.
Anything ideas to point me in the right direction of it's designer/factory would be gratefully received.
Thanks!!!!!!

Pictures on a white background would be better. Cannot see the weight itself in those.

Here again on white background

That looks like Caithness' ''Mesmerize''. If so, there will be a scripted signature on the bottom. You'll have to look carefully for it as it is difficult to see against the opaque background.
I have one with a soft pink overlay and enjoy the 'pop art' quality of the design.
They're quite large weights too and the edition is unlimited.

Hi Thanks for info
There is def no signature on the bottom - the bottom is ridged like this was a ball that was left to slump when it was hot.
Cheers

Yes, as Mark says.
There's one of these on eBay now (Mar 10 08) - 280172893115
They varied in colour, in the final shaping of the faceted surface and in the amount of "bullseye" rings and their placement on the surface. First time I saw one of these was a year ago and within a month I had seen four more online!

Base view (http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-9323) showing ridged and hatched surface which has the external bullseye over the top of it.

Have also found another up for auction currently at £95!!! I paid under £20 so at least I got a reasonable deal!

That depends on whether that current auction amount is also reasonable. ;)
