Unsure of this bowls identity. It feels very much like Whitefriars ie weight and substance however, it has a look round the base of a Webb amber bowl in my possession. The bowl measures 23 c'ms across and stands 9 c'ms high. One tiny bubble and the concave, polished pontil: usual wear on the base. It's a very nice piece in remarkably good condition. As anyone seen one like this before? Thanks!

I have a very similar bowl and have always wondered about the maker. I couldn't find it in WF catalogues and haven't seen a marked Webb example, I now suspect it may be Royal Brierley (Stevens & Williams) but am far from certain. Hopefully someone will be able to add more.

I have always gone with Thomas Webb with this one - but without the proof of a marked piece!!
