I'm hoping its a Sklo Union vase. Thanks Paul

Paul, have you taken a look at Marcus' site www.sklounion.com? I'm sure I've seen a vase like yours before but something's making me think it was German not Czech production. Marcus has a 'mistaken identities' section - take a look if it's in there.

Thanks Pip..There is a very similar vase in green thats described as Polish.. oh well its still very nice
and only cost me £7 so not too bad. Paul

ah Polish - right OK! Some lovely glass has come out of Poland - I agree that it's a very nice vase indeed, I'd be extremely happy if I found one.

Just took another look at the vase on Marcus's site and it isn't quite the same as mine.. the green vase has
a totally different base but has strong similarity's so Polish is still favourite. Paul

Hi Paul,
Jan Sylvester Drost was well known for his work with strong optical effects in glass.
I cannot say for sure but I'd place Drost and the Zabkowice factory as prime candidates for this vase, with a date @ mid 1970's.
Regards,
Marcus
