Vase 3..http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-9704 the height is 185mm and weight 1400g
Many thanks Paul.

They look very like Chribska, but I'm sure someone will confirm either way. This is a link that Marcus gave on another thread for their current online catalogue.
http://www.sklarna-chribska.com/ Take a look in "Classic" no.11.

Thanks Anne.. They do look similar to vases on that site.. rather annoyed though as dealer informed me they were quite old
at least 1970s, if I knew they were current would not have paid her asking price... I'll never learn :(. Paul.

And the dealer was probably not far off in her description as 1970s......... for the design.
I have been warning people for years that one should NEVER assume that design date is = to period of production, particularly when it comes to Czech production, whatever the type.
Items were produced by Sklo Union that had been designed, and in continuous production, since 1921, and one design dating to that year was still in production, by SHL in 2002. You have not been lied to.
Commercial values are often irrelevant.... Buy because you like it, but never because you think there may be a profit...
Regards,
Marcus
