Bought this with two pieces of Riihimaen, and one Whitefriars... nice colour and shape but I would be interested to know who made this. The colour seems a bit bright for Scandi?

I love this blue, Lynne. It looks like the same sort of colour as my fruit set bowls in Chris's tumblers topic a while back, which Nigel felt were Stuart. No idea if yours could be Stuart, just observing the colour really. Topic here for comparison: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,9362.0.html

Hi Anne, monitors can show colours very differently as well we all know... to me your Stuart tumblers are a lovely clear true sky blue, this moon flask is much more of a kingfisher / turquoise colour. Emmi suggested it might be Italian?
It is definitely moulded btw, showing mould lines down the sides and additionally around the base of the neck. Size roughly 9 ins tall, 8.5 ins diameter.

Hi Lynne, in reality my bowls are more of a turquoise than a sky colour - Chris's tumblers look more blue-blue (IYKWIM!) than my bowls though ;D but yes, colours are always difficult, aren't they? I have a pressed bowl and candlestick in the same turquoise colour - the bowl is Sowerby, the c/stick, not a clue about - but I doubt Sowerby did your flask! ;) Italian is a possibility - what we need is a glass colour by maker reference guide, methinks! 8)

I also think Italian is a possibility....

I have had this for a while now, and can find nothing like it in any of my books, or from trawling around the retro sites - Pip thinks it might be Italian, apart from that, does anyone have any ideas?

(It's not for sale btw - just a gallery of pics stored in my webspace)

I'm clutching at straws here Lynne but what about Oberglas (Austria)?
-
It could well be - I don't have any resources for Oberglas , there is nothing in 20th Century Glass.
Might have to remain a mystery I suppose...colour is not Scandi I don't think...

Lynne you seem to have two topics for this item so they've been merged. :)

Thanks Anne!
I completely forgot I had already asked about it.... doh!!!! :spls:
