This St Kilda weight (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?type=2&campid=5335820906&toolid=10001&customid=&ext=260225776867&item=260225776867) seems to be going for a fairly high price to me - or am I just mean? Is there anything special I am missing?

Two people wanted it and with so many canes included can help to recognise unmarked weights.
-
i notice its had 1062 page views ! thats about 1000 more than my sales get!
Am i not marketing mine right, or does this seller have a trick?

Hi Andy
I am amazed at the page view numbers, especially as he did not put 'paperweight' in the main title.

Probably most of the views were a result of the grapevine as the price escalated and maybe continued counting after the end?

i think it's because you dont see many with the STK and date cane together

Who knows the real reason..... But the ideas/suggestions proposed so far do not seem unique to this item - they could apply to many adverts that get far fewer viewings.
There have been several St Kilda weights for sale on eBay in the last few months (and if your searches were efficient you would have found them), but none got the degree of interest that this achieved. Maybe just chance....
But it always helps to use a good search: 'paperweight' (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?type=3&campid=5335820906&toolid=10001&customid=&ext=paperweight&satitle=paperweight) returns 2255 items as I type - try it and see what you get. But my own tailored search for paperweight returns 3429 at the same time - over 50% more. So how many people are missing these other items........probably most. As they say, "Life's a bitch, then you die." Or my version: "Life's a beach, then you dive!"
Tee hee! Sorry - I like underwater stuff....

Hi Alan.
There are reasons that I bought the weight and paid heavy for it. It is a closepack and STK closepacks are few and far between, especially one with complex canes and a signature/date cane.
