The other has two panels on which there is a figure of, I think, Mecury the winged messenger on a frosted background.

Barbara, I think the second one is the Sowerby Mercury vase - see Angela's post-war glass page - scroll down to the Sowerby bit and she has one the same.

Hi Anne,

Many thanks for the info on the Mecury vase, pleased that all the ancient Greek and Roman gods that we slept  studied through didn't all go to waste!

I would also say that Mercury is in uranium from the colour
