Title: Whitefriars ???
Post by: tropdevin on April 16, 2008, 07:05:24 PM
Does anyone think that this paperweight (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?type=2&campid=5335820906&toolid=10001&customid=&ext=160230736132&item=160230736132) may be Murano rather than Whitefriars...?

I can see why the vendor may go for whitefriars.  However Whitefriars only do butterflies in three ways.  The big ones made out of individual canes,260230076101 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260230076101)    the  small blue butterfly cane  350041296317 (http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=350041296317), and the mosaic centre cane (not on ebay at the moment but here's one at  Sweetbriar (http://www.sweetbriar.co.uk/uploads/50336.jpg).)
This one does have an interesting butterfly cane, but the other canes are totally Murano
