Today at Gaydon I bought two wonderful weights! They were made by Ray Annenberg at Adam Aaronson's Whitefriars day last year, using Whitefriars paperweight canes. They have been professionally faceted, and are inscribed (by Adam) with Ray's name and the details of where and when they were produced.
I am thrilled to have them! Real collectors pieces, IMHO! :D
Well done, Ray :hiclp: Many thanks, Adam :-* And Yippee for me! :girlcheer:

YOUR AGE DEARY
-
OH! i thought it was about £100.00
-
I guess it's probably MY age :-[ ::) but I admit that I still think of a 'dress' as being ordinary, while a 'frock' is posh! :D So you're probably right about the £100, Sue ;)

Dinner at the Howard Arms last night :) http://www.howardarms.com/
For anyone not familiar with Gaydon and its neighbouring villages, it is worthwhile staying overnight. There are a number of excellent pub restaurants in the vicinity, some of which have rooms, and plenty of very comfortable B & B's. Not all dog friendly, though, but Archie has his favourites! :)
