The front cover (http://www.antiquexplorer.com/magazine/back_issues/88_apr2008/88_apr2008.htm) (bottom of page) grabs you with wonderful detail of the cutting skill of Mr. Douglas to a rare flowing design by Clyne Farquharson for John Walsh Walsh. Inside is a feast of glass, beautifully illustrated with more unusual pieces such as a Vasart jug that I for one wouldn't have recognised. See the link for a brief resumé. This is one to obtain and keep.

Can you email me with a pic of the 'Vasart' jug please Bernard. I am aware of mostly Ysart style and despite the material there are still misattributions galore in the Ysart field.

Frank — Thanks for making me smile! You hit the "Post" button before you read the resumé! I wasn't criticising the attribution of the Vasart jug, just that it was a style that I wouldn't have recognised, hence the usefulness of the magazine. Apologies for the misunderstanding — I should have worded it rather better. I suggest you buy the magazine and read Nigel's article on Vasart.

We don't get the magazine here and can't afford to get one from UK. If it is Nigel's article it should be a good jug.
Two Vasart jugs show on this page http://www.ysartglass.com/Vascat/VasD001.htm

Hi Frank,
If you can't get a copy I have a spare, so email me with your address and I'll pop it into the post.
Cheers, Nigel
